Host a Satisfactory Server in Staging (Staging)
Staging: awaiting manual game-client validation. Player connections are not yet verified. Evaluate this server before inviting players.
Host Satisfactory on your own Windows 10/11 or Linux computer. Swarm Hosts gives you a browser control panel to start, stop, monitor, and back up your server.

Hardware and runtime
What Satisfactory needs
Minimum requirements are a starting point. World size, player count, content, and game settings can require more resources.
- CPU
- 4+ cores
- Memory
- 8 GiB minimum
- Player traffic
- TCP and UDP
- Backup coverage
- 2 saved data locations
Start with 4 CPU cores and 8 GiB memory for evaluation. Larger factories need more memory and CPU. Leave free disk space for downloads, saves, logs, and backups.
Technical overview
Satisfactory's dedicated server uses both TCP and UDP for its primary port, plus a separate reliable TCP port. Persistent storage retains its server files and factory data. See Staging games for evaluation limits.
Launch workflow
From host to running server
The runtime defaults are 7777/TCP+UDP and 8888/TCP. Older guides using 15000/UDP or 15777/UDP do not describe this port layout. See the publisher-linked dedicated-server guide.
- Choose Satisfactory from Staging and select a suitable host.
- Keep the offered launch defaults for the first test.
- Launch and wait for the server startup logs before opening Server Manager.
- Use a client that matches the installed server version.
Networking
How players connect
For later client evaluation, open Satisfactory's Server Manager, select Add Server, and enter the displayed player address and primary port. The separate reliable TCP connection must also reach the server. Check both routes when using a relay or direct port forwarding. Satisfactory has specific limits on external port remapping; an arbitrary public primary port must not be assumed to work. Public network and relay reachability, server claiming, authentication, and gameplay remain unvalidated.
Managed shared relay when the game, host, and current relay path support it.
Game management tools
Manage your Satisfactory server
Available tools depend on the game, server status, and your permissions. The game guide explains any setup needed for Server Actions.
Use the settings, files, backups, logs, and server controls available for this game. The complete guide documents any game-specific action prerequisites.
Mods & Content status
Mods and custom content
Track mods in one place and apply them manually through the game-specific workflow.
The content page records desired identifiers only; it does not install, resolve, verify, or roll back Satisfactory mods. Begin with vanilla. Any manual mod workflow needs compatible client and server versions and a backup.
Know before launch
Before you launch
- Awaiting manual game-client validation. Fresh image startup, healthy server API responses, five-minute stability, and configuration persistence on restart were tested locally on 2026-10-09. Server claiming, factory gameplay, client connections, and public networking remain pending.
- Host on Windows 10/11 or Linux with Docker Desktop in Linux-container mode on Windows, or Docker Engine or rootful Podman on Linux.
- Managed shared relay when the game, host, and current relay path support it.
