Palworld

Staging — awaiting client validation

Palworld is available for server evaluation. Player connection, community-server discovery, crossplay, and console-client compatibility have not been validated.

Swarm Hosts uses Pocketpair's official Linux dedicated-server runtime with persistent world and configuration data. See Staging games for what to evaluate before inviting players.

Requirements

Start with 4 CPU cores and 16 GiB memory on a Linux host with fast storage. Pocketpair recommends more memory for larger servers and cautions that low memory and slow storage can affect reliability. Its current guidance discourages Docker Desktop because of storage performance and save-data risks; Windows-host operation is not established by this staging entry.

Launch and settings

  1. Choose Palworld from Staging and select a suitable host.
  2. Set the server name, optional player join password, and player limit of 1–32.
  3. Leave the private management credential blank for a new deployment to generate a unique value.
  4. Launch and inspect the startup logs before attempting a client connection.

The internal game port is 8211/UDP. Share the assigned public player port from the server page. The private REST management service stays inside the runtime and is not a player endpoint. Check the reported server version and use a matching client; this entry does not promise the latest release.

Connect

For later client evaluation, open Palworld's dedicated-server list and enter the displayed player host and port in the connection field, following Pocketpair's connection guide. Use the relay endpoint when one is assigned. A direct connection test does not confirm community listing, crossplay, or support for every storefront or console.

Persistent data and backups

Worlds and Linux server settings are under /pal/Package/Pal/Saved, which is also the backup scope. Preserve this directory before changing version or settings. Keep an independent backup and test restoration before relying on it for a shared world.

Server Actions

Game-specific Server Actions are unavailable during staging. Platform start, stop, restart, logs, settings, files, and backup controls remain subject to your permissions.

Mods & Content

Managed Mods & Content is unavailable for this Linux runtime. Pocketpair's server-mod documentation says server-side mods are not supported on Linux dedicated servers.
